A day in Llandudno

About 1.5 hours drive from Manchester there is a seaside resort in Wales called Llandudno. When we went there last summer it was a fairly warm but very cloudy and foggy day.

It was a lovely family day out and I managed to take some pictures. As you can see there was definitely a lack of sunshine on that day – but I was still so impressed by the lovely bright colours of the gras, the flowers and the sea!

Next to Llandudno is the Great Orme, which is a beautiful limestone headland on the north coast of Wales. I would have loved to go there by cable car or train but due to very strong winds that wasn’t possible. However, the trip to the top was definitely worth it. The nature up there is just beautiful.

Before heading back home we went back to Llandudno for walk along the sea and some coffee and cake.

It was a lovely day out and although there are definitely towns where there is more to do, Llandudno was perfect for a fine day out with the family – great views (minus the fog), seaside, lovely air, coffee and cake…for me these are great prerequisites for a lovely day out! 🙂

Llandudno ticks all the boxes for a great day out 🙂 Conwy is also very pretty (albeit much smaller), and worth a visit. Have you been over to Anglesey? There are some lovely beaches and seaside towns there.

I’ve been to Beaumaris and absolutely loved it! There is still so much to see though and it can all be done in a day trip which is amazing 😊

Beaumaris is one of my favourite spots on Anglesey! I’m glad you liked it ☺️ There are lots of picturesque small towns and villages dotted in and around Snowdonia too, such as Beddgelert and Betws-y-Coed.
