Klunkerkranich – a stunning rooftop terrace in Berlin

This August I went to Berlin for a 24-hour trip to meet two of my best friends and my dad. I loved just being able to get on the plane in Manchester with my hand bag and a cup of hot chocolate. At 10 am I landed in Berlin and was picked up by a friend that I hadn’t seen for two years. Together with a few other friends we ended up at the Klunkerkranich in Berlin Neukölln to have breakfast.
The weather wasn’t brilliant, as you can see, but I managed to take a few pictures.

It was still quite early in the morning so the Klunkerkranich had just opened the doors for the day. During the day you can enjoy a bit of peace from the Berlin city noise, have a drink and something to eat. At night the Klunkerkranich changes to a club with various DJs.

The special thing about the Klunkerkranich is that it is full of flowers, herbs, veggies and plants in general. It is so nice and green – like an oasis with an amazing view over Berlin.

If you are in Berlin I can only recommend a visit – it is great during the day and I have heard it is amazing at night as well.
You can find more info about the Klunkerkranich here. You best reach it by getting off the U-Bahn at Rathaus Neukölln. You will see a larger mall when you get off the UBahn – just enter the mall and take the lift to the 5th floor. From there you have to just follow the signs to the upper floor.
